Final Fantasy Crisis Core: Zack Fair Play Arts Action Figure

1000 Needles! …Maybe not, but at least they finally made a Zack Fair figure. After all, Zack is so much better than Cloud, but I’ll save that for a later post. The figure itself was something that I was looking forward to buying after I finished playing Crisis Core.

I never really expected this action figure to come with a stand though, although it is a plus. Doing cool poses is a plus for whenever I’m not playing with Zack.

null

Although, doing some poses are just impossible due to some restrictions of the joints, mainly in his legs, and a bit in his shoulders. At least I could bring his legs forward…

null

Some details were actually pretty well done though. The shoulder pads actually had the texture and the look as if it were the real thing. Key words being “as if”.

null

The muscles on his arms were well done as well. I have seen way too many crappy toys in my day. Especially those old WWF toys. lol

The scar on his face is done well. Well, as realistic as it can be on the face of an 3D video game character.

null

The joints on the toy weren’t an eyesore either. I’m sorry, but the figmas’ joints are pretty ugly when they’re sleeveless.

The only detail of this toy that really irks me is his face. It doesn’t do this bishounen/protagonist any justice.

null

On the contrary, his buster sword is very nicely painted.

I never really understood why they slightly changed the original design of the buster sword in the game though. Regardless of that, that extra detail made it look cooler.

null

The toy came with two types of plugs that are used to insert one of them in his back. One for holding the sword while doing Rush Assault, and another while he’s doing octaslash.

There’s also some interchangeable hands so it could be easier for Zack to decapitate and eviscerate his enemies in a more efficient manner.

null

If you’re a big collector or you just like Zack but you aren’t sure if you should get this figure, you should. Despite the weird ugly face, the pros in this toy outweighs its only con.

null

Side note: Does he look like a hero now?

  1. […] Her face is quite cute too. It wasn’t butchered like another figure I reviewed roughly two months ago. […]
